Sony have announced a September release for Jackie Chan adventures, a PS2 action platformer based on the cartoon series of the same name. While the phrase 'younger audience' normally rings alarm bells in Radar Towers, JCA does boast one intriguing feature - EyeToy mini-games.
Quite how these co-exist with the action platforming that makes up the bulk of the game remains to be seen, but we do know that Jackie is on a global talisman hunt with his no doubt feisty 11-year-old niece Jade.
"The Jackie Chan Adventures cartoon series lends itself perfectly to be adapted to a video game, and we are thrilled to have been given the opportunity to produce it," said Jason Falcus, ops director at developers Atomic Planet. "Our team has worked very hard to create a great game that is true to the show in both look and feel, and I am confident it will appeal to fans of the series and fans of action adventure games alike."
