Our most exciting development makes subtle yet ground-breaking changes to the gameplay.
On starting the game, the player can choose between "Action" and "Stealth" modes; "Action" is geared towards the casual gamer and plays like an FPS where the player is in heart-pumping first-person mode firing off assault weapons all over the place whereas the more traditional hardcore gamers may prefer the "Stealth" mode which allows the player to access "sneak" controls and uses a helpful highlighting system that marks important locations on the map, adds a subtle yet noticable glow around objects of interest and uses a "hint" system to tell you what Agent 47 is thinking about any given situation.
We've tweaked 47's appearence, yes, but it's explained in the story. Due to a corruption in the cloning process he was bald for most of the series but now - thanks to the will of God and his gradual repentance - he's grown a full head of hair. We certainly tried to downplay the blatant religious overtones of the film in this game, but we feel that the more human appearance makes the character and game more accessible to our core, hardcore 360 market.
47 now has a sidekick! Without giving too much away, it begins with "D" and ends in "iana". His plucky Japanese partner in crime is now constantly by his side to give him mission updates, hints, extra ammo and special powerup moves such as the "Silver Baller Punch" we spoke about earlier. We think the true fans will especially like the many abilities she provides such as the double wall-jump.
Hitman: Transcendent Story comes out in Summer 2009.
