Doom 3 may have been made for the PC, but on the Xbox, it emerges as a world-class piece of entertainment—a sci-fi survival-horror movie that grabs you by the throat and doesn't let go until your eyes bulge, your face turns blue, and your heart thuds against your rib cage like a charging rhino. It's entirely appropriate that Doom 3 on Xbox plays itself out in the same room, on the same couch, and on the same screen that you watch your Aliens, Blade Runner, and Lord of the Rings DVDs—and not at your Ikea desk where you surf the Web and look at your digital holiday snaps. Screw the PC version. This feels like the game Xbox was always meant to host.

Konsoll-fps hadde vært konge om det hadde vært bedre støtte for tastatur og mus. Jeg klarer ikke å spille fps med ps2\xbox-stikke...får det bare ikke til.

Det er tross alt bare å kjøpe en liten transformator, og vips så har du tastatur. Tipper saken ligger på en 200 kr på internett (har ikke sjekket) så det er ikke vanskelige saken..... foretrekker uansett stikke siden den ikke krever så stor plass, men det er selvfølgelig en fordel med mus og tastatur!

Teksturene i Doom 3 på xbox er noe av det styggeste jeg har sett. Og en elendig oppløsning pluss garanterte slowdowns, for å ikke SNAKKE om over co-op, betyr at jeg sparer de 600 kronene.

Hollenshead was pleased with the speed at which Doom 3 was released on Xbox. Although, he also stated that it wasn't surprising how well the game translated to the system considering that John Carmack had the Xbox hardware in mind when he was first developing the game. He was also optimistic about bringing the PC expansion, Resurrection of Evil to the Xbox as a possible Live download, although nothing has been officially announced.

Tja.......jeg har spilt en god del å pc versjonene og jeg synes at ID har klart konvertering til xbox uten problemer. Grafikken ligger selvfølgelig et par hakk lavere, men god nok for de fleste (ikke deg naturligvis ^_^)

En ting til. Har du i det hele tatt testet spillet?

PS: Hvis du kjøper Limited edition så for du Ultimate Doom og Doom 2 og det er jo litt morro for de som ikke har testet de før, deriblant undertegnende.

I just recieved my September issue of Official Xbox Magazine (U.S.) and in the Reader Interaction part some reader asks if Doom 3: Ressurection of Evil will come to the Xbox....

Surprisingly Official Xbox Magazine replies and says YES it will be coming to the Xbox as a standalone product, and they will have a preview and full details about it in their upcoming issue, the October issue, which should hit newstands around September 5th.
