Airstep sword: Evasive warp strike- while in the air, press circle+left analog any direction. You will make a small warp in the corresponding direction while continuing your combo. It's a good way to stay out of the opponents hit zones, it can also be chained but be careful, it consumes magic and overuse will result in "stasis"
Broadsword: Forward charge slash: left analogue up+circle. This will close the distance and has a damage boost over the standard circle slash.
Tempest slash: left analogue back+circle. High damage spinning attack that can stunlock if timed correctly.
Blue charges slash: press circle once, at the end of the animation press circle (hold) hold circle to charge the slash, a fully charged slash does 2000+damage and can be held indefinitely. Best used when there is space between you and the opponent, let them get close while charging and release circle. You are also immune to stagger while charging, but you continue to take damage.
Hero's shield:
Staggering block: press the guard button (square) just before the enemies blow lands and stagger the opponent, giving a small window for follow up attacks.
Stagger block bash: after successfully staggering the opponent, hold the left analogue back+ circle. This will do a heavy attack with the shield that does quite a bit of damage.
Shuriken:
Shuriken Aerial back step: while in the air press back, right, or left on the left analogue + circle. This will cause you to warp a small distance and re-orient yourself while continuing your combo. This can be chained multiple times together, but uses magic. This technique works well with the airstep swords aerial warp ability and both techniques can be chained while maintaining being in the air. I use the back+circle to get distance between myself and the opponent while still doing damage.
