Uansett.
nyhetene:
"Outrider writes "IGN is reporting that the recent Japanese Shounen Jump has information on Phantasy Star Universe. Apparently it's going to be on PS2 and PC. Aside from that, they only know it'll be an RPG and have some sort of online component."
Også var det Bekreftet
"Electronic Gaming Monthly, today unveiled everything you'd ever want to know about Phantasy Star Universe, with the new title being the main focus of this months issue. So here's the basics:
Phantasy Star Universe is confirmed ONLY for PlayStation2 and PC with a current release date of November 20th 2005.
The security of Universe (In response to cheating in previous PSO games) will be much alike Phantasy Star Online: Blue Burst's, with server-side saving.
The game will utilise all the power the PlayStation 2 has to offer, meaning there is very little chance of a similiar release on PSP. However, PSO on PSP could be in the works if the handhelds online networks prove stable.
Phantasy Star Universe is still very much in development and is one of Sonic Teams main projects at the moment."
Litt spekulasjoner:
"PSOCecilJake writes "1up has posted a part of Electronic Gaming Monthly's interview with Yuji Naka, head of Sonic Team. Inside, Naka discusses PS Universe, the next consoles, his like for Nintendo, his history, Sonic, and says that a PSO on PSP might be possible. Destroys the rumors of a PSO DS, doesn't it? "
Indeed it does. Unfortunately this appears to have killed any hopes of the Gamecube or Xbox. In the end it is the right decision however. Given that many people have/will be migrating up to the PC version of PSO (Blue Burst), there's no reason for them continue staying on that console. However... its still possible given how early in development the game is if Sony doesn't even know about it."
PSO for Revolution?
"Phantasy Star Online has been confirmed for Nintendo Revolution, however its not how you think it would be.
Today Satoru Iwata, president of Nintendo confirmed that Nintendo Revolution will be backwards compatible with Gamecube games and the system will come with built in wireless standards at his keynotes speech. As such, PSO is confirmed in a compatible sense (EDIT: I got a note back saying the wireless capabilaties should not hinder GC PSO versions and online functions should still work), and this is hot on the heels of the recent notes I was passed by Armion that SEGA is stepping up its online policies on cheating. There is still no confirmation on Episode IV however."
