Fra TeamXbox.
What a week. First the pictures of the current Xbox 360 Development Kit, then a photo of the Xbox 360 taken from an odd angle and today the ATI patent for the embedded video RAM used in the Xbox 360 graphics chip...and now this!
Well, it happened. It always happens. Someone has leaked an image of the Xbox 360 and we believe this is indeed the design that will be shown next month at E3. That doesn’t mean it will be the final design that will ship later this year but you can bet it won’t be much different.
By the size of the disc tray we can conclude the Xbox 360 is much smaller than the current Xbox and it looks like a 21st century set top box. There are two memory slots in there, a big power button and some other ports we have no clue what their functions are.
You might wonder why is that power button so big? Well, because it does much more than indicating the console's power status...
Stay tuned. We'll have more on the Xbox 360 as it develops.
UPDATE
Another interesting image has surfaced around the web, this time showing what appears to be the left side of the console, where what appears to be a removable hard drive resides.
What's interesting to note is the comparison of this image with the recently released image from Ourcolony, and the similarities, as well as the differences between the two...
As you can see, the above image looks much more "finished" than the other image. The silver plate along the side of the removable drive has no text engraved on it and when you compare the images with today's newly released image of the front of the console, you can see that the disc drive is also a different color than the rest of the console. These differences suggest that one may be an earlier version of the console, and the similarities only further support the suggestion that this is in fact the Xbox 360 design.
We will continue to follow the news and keep you on top of things as they become known to us...
