Next game from GTA brains revealed
Rockstar to released Bully for PS2 and Xbox this October
Grand Theft Auto publisher Rockstar Games has just announced the first details of PS2 and Xbox school-'em-up Bully.
The game - the first from Rockstar Vancouver - is set in the schoolyard and promises to combine "innovative, original gameplay with humorous tongue-in-cheek storytelling".
Players take the unlikely role of a troublesome schoolboy, who must stand up to bullies, gets picked on by teachers, plays pranks on other kids, tries his luck with the laydeez and ultimately learns to navigate the obstacles of the reform school Bullworth Academy.
"We are really excited about the first title to be developed by our Rockstar Vancouver studio," said Rockstar boss Sam Houser. "We fought hard to keep this title under wraps for ages and I am thrilled that we can finally unveil it to people at E3."
Bully coder Rockstar Vancouver was formerly known as Barking Dog Studios and employs around 100 developers.
While this is its first game under the Rockstar umbrella, as Barking Dog it worked on Global Operations, Homeworld Cataclysm and Treasure Planet for PC along with Transworld Skateboarding for Xbox.
Bully will be released for PS2 and Xbox in October
