High-resolution images can't be found, because the PSX only ever output to 320x240 (then doubled to 640x480) in the first place. The PC version just scales that output to your monitor. No-one, not even Square, has access to high-quality originals. Once the game was shipped in Japan, the team was immediately dissolved. Assets were thrown away, the original movies lost, and even the source of the gold was misplaced. This is one of the reasons the PC version sucks - Edios had to repair a beta build, convert PSX vids to PC (rather than 'repress' the high-qual originals), and didn't even have the original music. They had to work with the AKAO music on PSX, for which there was no adequate x86 player.
